Unhappy Briggs and Stratton 7HP pressure washer will start and run a bit then dies.

I have a Briggs and Stratton 7 hp pressure washer and it was sitting for awhile and i dumped the gas and replaced it with known good gas, checked the spark plug, cleaned the brass fitting that is in the carb that i read is a problem and after cleaning that it stayed running for a bit but before it didnt run at all. Now it shuts off after a few minutes and then i have to choke it to start it again and it keeps doing it. what am i doing wrong here? whats the problem?

Check that the fuel cap is venting properly. Have a good one. Geo

You might also want to perform your work while no pressure hose is attached but of course with water running as not to damage the pump. Having a hose connected on a machine that has sat a while may not be unloading properly causing high static pump pressure which will also be a cause for that 7hp to die out if already in a weak state.
