Yard Machine Tractor

Anyone have an idea as to how many safety switches on a typical MTD Yard Machine..? It's a twin, 17 HP, 42" deck, age unknown; Ignition switch does nothing when turned...no click, etc. Battery @ 13+v., solenoid OK, ign. switch tested fine, fuse OK, wiring/ground OK, etc., so I'm assuming problem is one of the (how many ?) safety swiches...one on the clutch/brake; on the trans(?), on the deck(?);
Thanx for any input.
Charlie.

There are 3, but only 2 of them affect starting. Those 2 a re the clutch pedal switch and the blade switch.
