Question F525 John Deere drive is locked up

My F525 has a PA540a unitized power unit. Bounced while mowing and drive wheels locked up. Engine runs but will not move with forward or reverse pedal. freewheel release will not let it roll. When I jack it up, wheels freely spin in opposing directions. Any idea what might have broken?

Check the brakes and make sure they are not locked,,,sometimes when releasing the pins build up dirt and corrision and they will not release. Sometimes I will tap them with a hammer or sometimes I will spary them with WD 40 or take tem apart and clean the pins. That would be the first place to check,,also if brakes are not locked up check to see if belt came off and is locked under pulley. Good Luck!!

Yep, I'd be looking at the brakes.
