Yard Bug MTD Riding Mower

Hello- I just replaced the shift cable on my Yard Bug and there's too much slack at the end connected just below the engine. Any tips on correctly installing this? Also, the wheels are locked and I am guessing this is related to the shift cable. I need to move this whether or not I can get it running correctly. Is it possible to manually move the lever (below engine) to neutral and will that allow me to push it?

Thanks

Alex

Typically with cables such as that, there is an adjustment at one end or the other, often a double nut arrangement, one on either side of the hole that the sleave passes through. You should be able to find a parts breakdown on MTD's site, which may show a detail of the cable, but you will probably need an actual model number from the plate on the mower, not just "Yard Bug".
