2002 wizard lawn tractor
Ok here we go first off the mower is a 2002 western auto wizard MTD built 18.5 briggs 46in cut 14 speed,
the problem with the mower is when i engage the blades the motor dies.
A little history the transmission pulley broke while mowing my friends yard, so i parked it under his tree house and ordered the pulley. well his back yard flooded the water was just above the deck and it was under for a day. I did clean the deck made sure all blades were free and sprayed pb blaster on the shafts (no zerc fittings on the deck)
any help would be great
Thanks much Steve

Stuff like that is usually the safety switch under the seat. If you have one, run that plunger in and out a dozen times, then tie it shut with a plastic tie. This has to be done with your blessing since it's a safety thing, though.

That's the type that causes the problem. The one you sit on gets a lot of up and down workings, so the main run gets worn down. When you ram it in all the way a few times, you can clean off the contacts or get to an area not so worn. Then tie the plunger down snug.
