Generac XG4000 - power on only one side

My generator is only producing 120v instead of 240v. Only half the 120v plugs work. Only one hot line instead of two working for the 4 prong plug.

I could not locate a fuse burnt out, or anything else obvious.

The brushes were worn, but have been replaced.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Sounds like you lost one leg. Hard to know why. Maybe a burned diode, loose connection, etc...

I was trying to locate a wiring schematic. Usually there is one in the manual but Generac only releases manuals with model and serial number supplied.

I was looking at one of the generic Generac schematics I have and it looks like if it's producing any power then the regulator part is ok. You may have a defective circuit breaker. The model I'm looking at has several..... I don't think yours does.
