21 HP DYT 4000 won't stay running when engaged in gear
I need help. My Bob Vila edition DYT 4000 will start, but when put in gear (either forward or reverse) it stalls. Any help would be appreciated.

I'll give that a try. I got the mower from my father-in-law and not sure if he used ethanol gasoline. Should I change the fuel filter and fuel lines while i'm at it?

I don't see any reason for any of that based on the info you provided. Does it stall like you shut it off with the key, or does it stall slowly like it's running out of gas?

Thank You!! That connector under the seat did the trick. I took it off and reconnected it. The mower is working fine! Thanks again, I would have never thought about that!
