Lightbulb Karcher 2800 power washer

I have what should be a simple problem, but it seems that even simple can be a problem. The honda engine on the karcher will fire up with starting fluid, but it will not continue. Please don't ask if there is gas? but it may be a fuel problem. There is no fuel shut off, and I do not believe there is a fuel pump, but there is this round black unit that is near the fuel tank and carb. Now that may be a type of diaphragm fuel pump, but I can not find any reference to it on a parts listing. I do not have a lot of knowledge on Honda engines so that could also be a problem. I believe this question is a long shot, but could a bad spark plug, fire using starting fluid, but not stay running? I hate to take this thing in to a shop for something simple. Thanks to all up front.

Yep, sounds like the carburetor needs cleaning.
