Tecumseh LV192EA engine

Hi All, I am looking for advice, I just rebuilt the carburator and the engine will start but runs for about seconds and stop I can restart it and it runs for 5 seconds and stops .............. The carb number. 5314M5B there are no adjustments to be made ,every point has been cleaned welch plugs removed and replaced,float level to spec's. the only thing I am not sure on is the idle restrictor.

Did you clean the tiny hole shown in the pic below, I use the wire from a twist tie. Have a good one. Geo

Did this problem exist prior to the rebuild? If so, try running with the gas cap off and see if it stalls. If it doesn't, get a new gas cap.

It did not run prior to the rebuild,the carb was a mess,I did clean the jet at the bottom inside of that bowl nut but I did not realize there was a hole in that location.

Tecumseh carb update

Hi All, carb has been cleaned ,all ports and jets except for the primer bulb,the engine starts fine but still surges for awhile until it warms up then it runs pretty well,the only problem is that in order to keep it running at first I have to hold the primer bulb in for a few seconds,I wonder if I should have removed it and replaced it.

Dump a couple oz of seafoam in the gas tank it might clean up the last little problem. Have a good one. Geo

I did try some Seafoam in the gas not much difference still surges until I push and hold in the primer bulb in,that is the only thing I haven't replaced,is there away i can check to be sure that it is the problem ?
