Troy Bilt Pony Briggs and Stratton Deck Engaged Engine Died

Model 13WN77KS011
PowerBuilt 500 CC 17.5gross HP

Cleaning up fall leaves. Running great. Disengaged deck to empty baskets.
Riding mower to get more leaves.
Engaged deck, engine made small "pop" sound.
Engine will not turn over now.
Turn key and get a "thud" sound.
Put in neutral and wheels move.
Has oil, but two seasons old.

Advise? THANK YOU!!

Sounds like you may have blown the engine, remove the spark plug and see if the engine will turn over if it won't turn forward try turning it backward by hand, insert a thin screwdriver in the spark plug hole to see it the piston will move. Have a good one. Geo
