8 hp simplicity
I have a 8 hp simpicity snow blower.The wire for the key switch came off and I don't know where it goes

Where is the loose end located - up around the switch or down around the flywheel shroud. Does the key also have a start position for electric start or is it just for ignition?

Hi Marbobj, It has off and run.It is a electric start.The wire came off the engine still on switch.Is that wire a ground wire that could go any where

I see. You have a separate start button, then? The wire you have is part of a grounding circuit. If you have two wires normally connected to the switch, one would come in to it from the coil/module at the flywheel, and the other side of the switch would lead a wire to ground. Completed circuit to ground would kill the engine, open circuit would be "run".
About all you have to do is follow the wires and hook up as described above.
