Ariens Snowblower Drive Belt keeps falling off
I have an Ariens Snowblower, model # 926038, and the drive belt keeps falling off of the pulleys when I release the Traction Drive Clutch Lever. The machine and belt are only 3 years old and appear to be in good shape(no cuts, deformations, etc.). I was considering adjusting the tension on the speed control cable so that the belt remains under slightly more tension when I release the Clutch Lever and hopefully prevent it from jumping the pulley. Has anyone seen this problem before and have a suggestion?

Had the same problem last storm. Try tightening up the drive clutch so that the spring expands 1/2 " more than it's relaxed position. The spring is under the clutch leaver, under the handles. When I adjusted it, the problem went away. I don't know if it is a permanent fix. I'll find out when is snows tomorrow.
The instructions are in the Ariens service manual, P GB-28. Good luck.
