key wont turn on my craftsman snowblower

Used the snow blower three times yesterday, today went to start it and the key wont turn. I used a lock de-icer and of course that would of been to easy and it didn't work. Is it something easy or do I need to call for help

Just as a test, short out the contacts. If it starts then replace the key mechanism.

Most key switches create a short in the off position so that they ground the primary coil wire.

A blow dryer may be needed for a little spot heat. After it is unthawed.... then you can lubricate.

WD 40 will help displace the water in the switch.
