Weed eater won't idle
Hello everyone,
I have a Troy Bilt 4 cycle weed eater model TB575ES. Didn't work last year and recently decided to try and figure out what is wrong with it. I've replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter, carb, spark plug, air filter, and changed the oil. It's up and running but I just can't figure out why it won't idle. As soon as I release the trigger it shuts off.

I can't say that I have, I don't see any adjustments on the carb. I've seen on some 2 cycles engines where there are screw that can be adjusted but I don't see any on this carb.

You may have a air leak, check the cylinder head bolts, they may have come loose, causing a air leak. Also check the plastic carb. adapter,to see if it came loose. You may also have a clogged spark arrester screen in the muffler.Hope this helps.

If this is the rotary barrel carb, you'll probably need a carb kit,, Sorry, but no adjustments on that carb.... Roger Sorry, I didn't read the post close enough, you stated you replaced the carb (with a new one, right??) Roger
