Compatability of Tecumseh Engines

Hi, I have a snowblower with a Tecumseh HMSK80-155545U engine with a cracked engine block. I am looking to get another block/and or engine however I was wondering about compatibility. Are all HMSK80 engine blocks compatible with each other, regardless of the last set of digits? How can I go about finding a block which fits?

I don't know. i would expect them to be the same, but I can't say they would be for sure.

I believe that the blocks will kinda/sorta be similar. What I mean is the mounting should be the same, but you will want to check to see what size diameter the crank is versus the size of your crank. does it have an auxiliary cam drive( extended shaft from the cam for drive wheel pulley). Those are the two main things that I would look for.

The blocks should be the same but things like shaft diameter, electric start, lighting coil and all that may be different.
