Ariens 921 Series Deluxe 28" mocel 921022

My snowblower stopped moving forward or back the other day. It has only been used about 10 times. I looked up in the manual and it says to check the friction disc or traction belt although I don't think that is the case here as the unit is only a few years old. I removed the bottom and there was a broken spring but I have no idea where it goes. So here is a picture of the spring. I am hoping someone will know the part number of what the issue could be other than the friction disk.

I have tried adjusting the speed selector as well.

The spring

goolgle your model #, find a parts diagram, I found what might be that spring part # 08300538. It should go between one of your control cables, and an arm that has a pulley on it to tighten the belts, there should be a small hole for the spring

I've always liked that kind of drive.
