4stroke oil in 2 stroke engine. What to do?

By mistake I put 4 stroke oil in my Toro 98cc electric start snowblower two weeks ago. The snowblower worked that day. Although, it was stopping frequently but would start again with electric start. I did not realize my mistake until today, when the darn thing wont start at all. When I prime the engine and press the electric start, it tries to start and then the starting sound appears to change to freewheeling sound.

what should I do? Have I damaged the engine?

Thanks in advance.

You may/may not have damaged the engine. Using 4 stroke oil in place of two stroke oil isn't something to do intentionally. The two oils are made to fit specific applications.

Dump all the 4 stroke mix out of it and put in two stroke mix according to the manual and try to get it started. Once you do use it enough to run out at least half a tank or so.
