Yeah, the snow blower I posted about a week ago has gotten worse, it's 10 years old and I'm ready to give up on it and buy a new one. I was going to go Home Depot, but then I'm kind of limited buy the two they have in stock. I see Sears sells some under the craftsman name (I don't know if they manufacturer them themselves or not). Is it feasible to buy a snow blower online? Amazon has them but, sometimes with big purchases like that where it's hard to compare prices I don't trust them, especially if they aren't sold by Amazon directly. Those problems aside, are there any manufacturers and/or models specifically I should look at? I'm probably looking for another 2-stage, gasoline powered blower. My last one was 27" but I probably don't need something that big again. Any advice would be great, thanks.

I am trying to help a friend with this unique problem-never run into one like this the engine runs fine until you engage the blades...this is model number 28v707 riding mower..have replaced the carburetor three times...checked all the pulleys on the deck...absolutely nothing wrong with them...replaced the coil with known good one...pulled the bottom cover off and checked the governor...nothing wrong there either...manually moving the governor on the outside of the engine while running makes no difference at all in engine speed. All carburetor springs look fine and carb idle is set where it should be...anyone got an idea on this one would be most appreciated.
