Briggs & Stratton - No Fuel After Pump

I have a White riding mower with a B&S Intek Twin Cylinder OHV engine on it. I cannot get the engine to run. It will run with starting fluid.

I have changed the filter and confirmed I have gas to the pump, however the line from the pump to the carb is dry. I am guessing the fuel pump is bad. Is this common or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Take the line loose and crank the engine to see if fuel pumps through. If not, try priming the pump with fuel until fuel comes out the carb side and see if it will pump. Sometimes the check valves get dry and stick.

Very common and a simple fix, replace the pump.
