click when turning key, replaced solenoid, intermittent problem, craftsman 42"

hi
i have a craftsman 42" cut mower, the mower quit starting and would only click at solenoid, i replaced the solenoid and now the mower turns now and then and the other time i get the same click, any suggestions.

I thought I responded, but it didn't take. Have you checked the charge rate on the battery? Not just the voltage, but under load? Your battery may be too weak.

have not checked charge rate, but had battery checked under load at reputable battery shop, checked good, also i jumped the solenoid once and cranked perfect

I'd suspect dirty cables or grounds.

I agree with Gunguy45... likely loose cables at the battery.
