craftsman mower won't start.

I have a craftsman riding lawnmower with a 18 horse brings with overhead valve it had to much compression so I took the head off and sanded off I'll the carbon and put it back together now it turns over but would not start so I checked for spark nothing so I replaced the coil and sanded flywheel it's got fire and gas but still won't run so I bypassed the seat safety switch and it still does not run what is another possibly at

How did you "bypass" the switch?

Did you properly adjust the valves? The valves were probably originally your problem.
