Honda EU3000is Generator

Generator is not running right. No output. Have seen several references about the fuel filter but cannot find anything as to where it is located. On this generator is there a fuel filter and if so. Where is it. Thanks

You say "not running right" and "no output". Is the engine running? What is it doing?

The first fuel filter is the screen basket inside the fuel tank at the filler. The second is an assembly inside the enclosure at the fuel shutoff valve assembly. If you open the side door and look carefully it's sorta visible behind the carburetor but not easy to get to without doing some disassembly.

Yes generator does start. At first start the output indicator light is on but goes off. The engine just seems to live along with no power. Low rpm' s. Reason I was
looking for fuel filter.

If the engine is running but you are not getting output I would focus attention on the generator section and not the engine. Unfortunately if nothing is connected to the generator and the output light is turning off it indicates the control system (computer) has found a fault during it's startup diagnostic and might take the repair beyond basic DIY skills and into advanced territory.

Running slow is normal when the eco switch is in the eco position. In eco mode the speed of the engine is controlled by demand. If there is low or no load on the generator is slows to a fast idle which is normal. Turning off the eco mode will cause the engine to go to continuous high rpm.

If you still want to clean the fuel filter here is the .pdf of the manual. Instructions to clean the filter begin on page 48.
