Deere STX38 with 13HP Kohler - Throttle Backs Down

I have a Deere STX38 with a 13 HP Kohler engine, circa 1996. The throttle doesn't want to stay "throttled up" when I mow the lawn. It keeps creeping back down and I continuously have to throttle it back up. All the clamps seem tight, so not sure what the problem is.

Thanks for any suggestions.

The throttle control lever/cable has gotten loose. It happens over time. You might be able to figure out a way to tighten it, but replacement is the normal option.

Thanks. I ordered a new throttle assembly. It's like me, getting old and worn out. Appreciate the feedback.
