Need help findng replacement motor
I have an older Snapper lawn mower that I fear may need a replacement motor.
I can not seem to find the right kind online and would love it if someone could point me in the right direction. I am looking for a Briggs and Stratton 10hp model 28a707-0118-01.
The motor is having difficulties hand turning. It will only hand turn about 1/2 turn then feels as if it's getting caught on something. I have not tried to force it for fear of doing more harm.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You might try small engine warehouse, they have a section for re-powering old equipment. Have a good one. Geo

Thanks! I checked my Snapper model (281013BE) with Small Engine Warehouse and they are showing a motor but it looks nothing like my current engine. My current engine has rewind start and 12v starter, my current one also has the old magneto type flywheel.
Would putting in a more modern engine be the way to go? or should I try to stick with replacing the current engine.
