Hello,
I have replaced some parts on my "inherited" string trimmer, and it still will not start. I installed a new primer bulb and fuel lines; new plug and ignition module (after observing a very weak spark). The diaphragm on the Walbro carb does not appear to be torn, but this unit of the machine is where I suspect the problem.
Are there any tests or inspections I can do on the carb, or should I order a new one?

If the carburetor is the problem, I'd say ordering a new one is probably about as cheap as getting a kit and cleaner and rebuilding it, cheaper if you count your time.
