Briggs and Stratton leaking at oil filter

I have a older Cub Cadet rider mower with a 16hp v-twin engine I believe to be a Brigg and Stratton engine. There is an oil leak coming from the housing holding the oil filter in place (see picture)
The picture shows the top of the housing, the oil filter screws into this (cannot be seen from this angle but there is an oil filter screwed in). The leak is coming from where the arrow is pointing.
Does anyone know about these leaks? What is name of the parts on both sides of the arrow. I am not mechanically inclined so please excuse my ignorance but I am broke and don't want to spend money at the repair shop if I can fix this.
Thank you

You might have a crack in the oil pressure sending unit (sensor) or the threads are leaking. I can't tell from the photo but it almost looks like someone tried JB Weld or some epoxy around it, possibly trying to stop the leak. You can replace the unit or remove it and install a pipe plug.
