Poulan 2050 chainsaw problems

Acquired this used saw..

Replaced rotted fuel lines. The duckbill for the fuel cap and another duckbill with a smaller diameter lock ring were loose inside the tank.

reinstalled the one for the cap and set the other aside. cant find a spot for it.

Any ideas?

I otherwise cleaned it and the carb and got it running good during the adjustment while warm. but after a few days I couldn't get it to start and had to begin the adjustment process again. that time I noticed bubbles forming in the main fuel line from the tank at the carb. guessing this extra part may have something to do with it.

Thanks ahead of time for any help, can find anything in the online manuals.

I'd suspect the other duckbill is from a previous cap, since these often require cap replacement once in a while because the ethanol fuel these days makes the cap swell and distort. I would think the fuel line might be cracked, allowing the bubbles in the line.
