Wireing for a fuel-shut off solenoid on Honda small engine

Hi All - I'm putting back together a Honda Gx390 clone and didn't take good notes when i pulled the wiring off. I've got a cord with 2 orange wires running from the bottom of my carb and i can't figure out where to connect them.

My guess is that i want to put one of the orange wires connected to the on/off switch. The other side of the circuit (the other orange wire) then goes to the wire that leads to the ignition coil (where the flywheel magnet is).

Do i have that right?

Better hold off on hooking that up until you get a full tech response.

The solenoid is energized when the engine is running and the current is cut to it when you shut it off. So you would have one wire running to the on/off switch, but the other has to pick up current from somewhere. A wire going to the coil would normally be a kill or grounding wire. That would be on an ignition module not battery fed.

I can't say it isn't the way you have figured out, I don't know for sure.
