Honda mower stalls when raised up on back wheels
MY HONDA IS 5 YRS OLD, BUT RUNS OK EXCEPT WHEN I HAVE TO RAISE THE MOWER UP USING THE BACK WHEELS TO MAKE A TURN. DOES THE FUEL TANK HAVE A PICK UP FOR FUEL WHEN THE MOWER FRONT WHEELS ARE RAISED OFF THE GROUND. THIS PROBLEM JUST STARTED AND I SURE DO NEED HELP TO CLEAR THE PROBLEM

Most likely it is water in the carburetor. Water is heavier than gas, so a certain amount can accumulate in some carburetors before it gets high enough to reach the main jet and get sucked up by the engine. Tilting the engine changes the angle though, and can allow the water to contact the main jet when it normally wouldn't.

Thanks for another great reply. I drained the tank, the carb bowl and in draining the tank i removed the filter blew some compressed air through the tank line and the filter was ok - no clog. This site is sure great with answers to help a person out when in need. So, i thank all of the people who jump in with answers. Sometimes you cvan't use them all, but it gives your mind a chance to at least have your question answered. I'm really glad i can use the site for so much - -and i have, thanksthanks.
