Stihl String Trimmin Sputters
The primer bulb on my trimmer broke and while replacing it I had the great idea of cleaning the carb (cleaned diaphram & other internal parts with carb cleaner, did not remove needle valve or jets). After putting everything back together the trimmer started quickly, but would never get to full throttle, but rather sputters and smokes quite a bit. I'm thinking I put something back incorrectly, but wondering if anyone could provide some direction. The primer bulb seems to work, I do not think I switched the lines. I'm using the same fuel, plug, etc. from when it was running. Not sure what else would be helpful other than the equipment info below.

Is the choke releasing fully? Could the metering valve diaphragm have gotten put on in front of the gasket instead of after the gasket?

I took it back apart tonight and your first thought was correct. The plastic choke lever, was not fully engaged to the carb lever so it was stuck on half choke. Thank you for the quick response.
