Honda hhr216vka mower problems

my mower was giving me problems amd CHEESE TOLD ME TO DRAIN THE CARB BoweL ran great.
The next time I used the mower it gave my many more problems. I turned around with it and seemd to get it to run - not good just run. I called a shop to get them to get the mower to run as it should - -the mower shop said they were not a Honda dealer and recommened I take it to a Honda dealer - -which I did. Now after $50.00 and the mower, runs worse. The dealer said he adjusted the govenor. The mower at start up runs so fast I could enter it in NASCAR. While cutting the grass if the mower hits a little bump it seems to stall and I have to stop mowing and allow the mower to keep running - -only because te mower died 3 times before. I think he ajusted the governor just to cut the grass at his shop (I GOT THE MOWER BACK PACKED WITH WET GRASS UNDER THE DECK) A lot said - HOW DO I ADJUST THE GOVERNOR TO MAKE THE MOWER PUN AS IT SHOULD. NO I'll not go back to the dealer..The dealer took me once and he'll not get me again No i don't use ETHONAL FUEL, JUST NON ETHONAL. I just need this mower to last me this year, it is almost 6 yrs old. any answer will do, because I've never been steered in the wrong direction from you guys. HELP

I'd say take it to another shop. It does not have to be a Honda dealer or service center though they might have any needed parts on hand. It just sounds like the shop did not fix the problem and $50 sounds like a basic shop rate. Did you give the shop any "instructions" when you dropped off the mower like "I don't want to spend any money on this"? They may have tried to do a cheap & simple adjustment to save you money.

Sounds like you need a good shop, since one is scared to work on hondas and the other doesn't know how. TO adjust the governor, loosen it and rotate the shaft in the direction it turns to rev the motor to full throttle. Set the carb to full throttle, and while holding both in this position, tighten the governor again.
