tecumseh 11 HP horizontal snowblower engine

Got a 30 in. 11 HP Craftsman snowblower. The engine had a hole in the block from a broken connecting rod. Thats all that was broken in the engine believe it or not. It had some missing parts though. The head bolts were gone. There are 3 bolts that take special washers and the other 6 bolts take flat washers. I just used lock washers instead. Will this suffice or do you think I should hunt down the special bellville (sp) washers.
Whats everyone think?

Belleville washers. Guess they are bevelled. Anyone else run into this?

Here's a link to what Wikipedia says they are . . . with an illustration:

I have a Snowblower with a Tecumseh Engine like that; but haven't ever needed to pull my head.

Are those used on the three (3) headbolts that are slightly longer ?
