Old ethanol fuel left in it.
Those carburetors are so tiny it's easier to just replace the carburetor then try and rebuild it.
About a $30.00 or less part.
Try and find a place that sells non ethanol fuel, if you can not find one use an additive that counter acts the effects of it, any auto store, Wal-Mart, local power equipment shop will sell it.
Only mix one gal. of fuel at a time.
At the end of the year run the tool completely out of gas.
Never use fuel left over from last year!
