Briggs and stratton won't run

Hi all
I have a ride on mower with a briggs and stratton 13.5 engine
Model 21b807. Type 0289. B1
It stopped running done all checks and discovered that the bolt holding rocker arm came loose and the rocker arm came loose result the intake pushrod got bent,
Got new pushrod and done the valve adjustment
Intake valve 0.003-0.005
Exhaust valve. 0.005-0.007
And it will start running very rough and then die won't take throttle can anyone tell me if the valve adjustment is correct or if there is some other problem.
Thanks gemburn

When you adjusted the valves did you have the piston 1/4in past TDC, if not that may be the problem. Have a good one. Geo

Did you check the bolt on the rocker arm again to ensure that it stayed tight this time. Since it loosened before, there could be a problem with the bolt. I would also want to take a close look inside that valve cover to ensure that everything is still working right (didn't bend another rod).

No I put lock tight on the bolt, valves are working ok, but when it starts it's very rough won't take throttle at all.

Check your valve movement. I'm guessing one of the valves is barely opening.
