Poulan 2150 LE Chainsaw

I have a Poulan chainsaw that is extremely hard to start and won't run when hot. It also 'looses' fuel but is not leaking externally. When hot I have noticed fuel 'percolating' into the carb from the tank hoses. Ever heard of this? Can the case be cracked or a gasket leaking? Can fuel leak from the carb to the crankcase?

How is the compression? How well does it run when cold? Fuel can leak through the carb into the crankcase. If the engine is flooding, I'd say it's time to rebuild or replace the carburetor.

I would also say carb...but u can also take your muffler off and take the plug out..drop u a lil gas in the plug hole and look into muffler whole and pull rope slightly if gas seeps or bubbles into your crankcase its probably from trash and dirt..that would almost mean..piston walls may b scarred up..that will also mean..probably no good..just a lil advise..good luck
