Craftsman Chainsaw floods and bogs

I have a craftsman chain saw, same model as poulan pp4218,that once I get to start, will bog and die. There is no fuel getting to the fuel pump, I took it off and it was dry. The pulse port is clear and this is the same with a new carb. Also, if primed as instructions call for(6x) it will flood and won't start. All the fuel lines had to be replaced. Any Ideas, Thanks.

Does the primer bulb fill and pump fuel through it? The primer should pull fuel from the tank, then pump fuel through the carb on to the tank. That purges the air from the carb reservoir and fills it with fuel for starting.

That primer shouldn't put fuel in the carb throat/engine head.

Sounds like you may have the fuel lines cross. The line in the tank with the filter, goes to the pump side of the carb. The primer bulb with the short fitting the line goes to the metering side of the carb. The primer bulb with the long fitting ,goes back to the tank, this is the return line.Hope this helps.
