Kohler 20 hp no fire to spark plug

Have 20 h p Kohler on Cub Cadet that has no fire to spark plug. Where would be a good place to start?

Welcome to the forums. Probably the flywheel pick up or coil.

How are you checking that you have no fire to the spark plug? Have you tried a different spark plug? Also check that the kill or grounding wire for the coil is not grounded via a broken wire or faulty ignition switch.

Make sure the spark plug is grounded to metal on the engine when checking for spark. You didn't say which engine this is, but assuming this is a single cylinder courage engine from recent years, here is how to check it: If no spark with the plug grounded to the frame or engine, remove the engine shroud and unplug the kill wire from the coil and check for spark again. If not spark, the coil is bad. If there is spark, testing of the kill circuit is in order.
