PTO clutch on MTD Yardman

Intermittent problem with clutch disengaging whilst mowing, then it stopped working altogether. Removed clutch and traced problem to the wires coming out of the magnetic clutch. One has a break right beside the junction box on the back of the clutch.
Please tell me how to replace this wire as I have studied all the literature from Warners and there is no mention of this part.
Thanks

I have taken a dremel tool and cut down around the broken part in the clutch to gain access to the broken wire and soldered a new wire to it, then epoxied it over with JBweld.
