Brute push mower with front wheel drive

I have the above machine, for less than one year. Last week the steel cable of the drive control was broken. I do not want replace the whole thing, only that 1/16" cable. Does someone know what is its the exact lengh? I would like not to make trial and error procedure...

Measuring your cable is the best method. Do you have a plan for the cable ends? I use a bolt cutter style crimper to crimp ferrules on the ends.

The cable was broken, a piece of it is lost somewhere... For the ends finish I'll use a small brass piece, holed, the cable being soldered to it

Solder does not stick to steel cable very well. You can loop the cable around your brass piece a through the hole a second time. Then smash it with a hammer to pinch the brass closed. Then for good measure you solder to try and firm it up even more.
