Honda GCV-160 engine

I have the gcv160 on my lawnmower. On the governors arm. There is a lower hole and upper hole. Can someone tell me which one increases rpms. Thanks.

Ps. I'm assuming upper one decrease rpms. Mine lawnmower is one speed with Manuel choke.

You probably need to adjust the governor arm, not simply move the spring to another hole. Search for "honda gcv160 governor adjustment" as the instructions with pictures and diagrams are out there.

Whichever puts more tension on the spring is the one that increases speed. Usually the upper on most if not all motors.
