How many shear pin on riding lawnmower?

Lowes 1990 year model 42 in lawn mower Model number 130-659G062 Item number 95188. Engine model number 281701 after hitting stump and killing engine will not start. Checked shear pin in flywheel and replaced even though old pin looked good. Still will not start. Backfires and smoke comes out exaust pipe acts like it is out of time. Is there another shear pin? Thanks for any suggestions.

Just the one flywheel key. Change the spark plug.

Thanks cheese. It's a new plug, but I'll try another plug.

When trying to start it does it crank in a normal manner? IE: Spin faster than normal or stumble/labor to crank.
I am thinking possible valve issue.
