Lt 1000 lawn tractor Transmission help
The hyd transmission on this mower not working need to know how to bleed air from it
#2
Well, with no info other than that, all I can say is jack the rear wheels off the gound, crank it up, put it in gear and let it run a while to bleed it.
That might be the procedure, but not knowing what you have, I don't know.

What are the numbers on the white tag? Or the model number of your mower. That doesn't look like a hydro transmission. Let's start from the beginning and tell us what happened.

917-272760 this is the number on the whit tag. The problem started when the motor quit running. It set up for two years befor I fixed the motor. The motor runs great now but the transmission would not work. I removed the transmission and drained the oil and disassembled it could not find any thing wrong so I put it back and it still don't work. New oil and belt

According to the IPL on sears direct that is a Peerless 2000. I think when you open it up you will find the neutral lockout sleeve is shot on one side, item #9 on the IPL, part number 786197 $18.10. When the neutral lock is engaged so you can roll the mower around and then release it the sleeve slides between the pump and the transaxle, when released it does not always engage completely and over time it chews out one side of the sleeve until it quits working, it usually starts by slipping and jerking in forward then also in reverse and then just quits moving all together. Refer to the pics below. Have a good one. Geo
This side looks good.
This side destroyed.

Then check the shafts that it fits on, the kit that is sold to repair the problem which has several parts in it has a new shaft for the transaxle. I will see if I can find the part number, I had the kit but had fixed the problem before the kit arrived. (Tecumseh 799032). Have a good one. geo

I fixed the motor driver the hyd part. The part that shifts from neutral to reverse inside the box the little brown sleeves that let it remove back and forth was not on the little tits and that moved. Fixed that and found out if you turn the box upside down and fill it up with hydraulic fluid it takes most the air out of it and it works better thanks for y'all's help
