simplicity legacy

I have a Simplicity Legacy 27HP lawn tractor that just stopped this morning. I have been using it very often but today after I drove it to a certain work location the brake pedal became disconnected to wherever it gets connected. Without the brake pedal depressed the tractor won't start. The front loader bucket is filled with soil that I must move but the engine won't start without the pedal being depressed. Can anyone help me with this problem? Is it something I can do in my yard? I can no longer work on my projects without this tractor. Thanks.

Rich

Hard to say what happened without looking under there to see. It sounds like the linkage fell off or broke, but where or why is going to have to be observed first hand.
