Riding Mower Dies Unless Choke Is On

I've got a 98 Simplicity with a Kohler CH205 engine. Mower was running fine then all of sudden wanted to die. I closed the choke and the engine kept running.

So far I've siphoned the gas and put new gas in. Replace the fuel filter, air filter, plugs. Tried running without the gas cap on to rule out a vent issue. Blew the fuel line from the filter to the carb.

Now I'm up to trying to adjust the carb, but don't see the fuel adjustment screw that they are pointing to in the manual. I see the idle speed screw and the main jet solenoid, but that's all I can see.

I don't know jack about carbs, but seems like a fuel needle adjustment is not the problem........just a guess.

Any suggestions?

You've got something in the carb like water and/or trash. You'll need to open it up and clean it.
