Post MTD Yardman tractor

Hi, I have an MTD Yardman, model 13AT604G671, and I was merrily mowing and all of a sudden I stopped moving, no noises , motor still running just cant go forward or reverse ..... Asked around some male friends ( I am a female) and have been answered "probably the belts !" No further advice so here I am asking those that know I have downloaded a manual as I didn't have one.

Please help, thanks in advance, Cazzah

I was an auto mechanic. I never worked on tractors. I imagine that it's either belt, chain or shaft driven. One of those 3 either broke or disconnected. Look for an "exploded view" in the manual. If I get time later, I'll download the manual.

If you downloaded this Manual Page 20 starts instructions on changing the drive belts. There are two belts so I would check to see that they both are in tact and or routed correctly.

Just be careful. Don't get your fingers caught between the belt and a pulley.
