How do you remove the auger assembly from MTD Yardman Housing
I have a 1999 MTD Yardman Snowblower, Model 31AE6A4E000 that I need to replace the housing on. I cannot see how to remove the auger assembly from the Housing. I have the side mounting bolts removed and the entire auger assembly is loose.
Your help is appreciated.

That Housing looks pretty good . . . . why do you need to replace it ?
I just did that disassembly this past Spring when I added "Paddles" tp the Impeller Blades.
It appears that you got the Bolt and Pulley off the Impeller Shaft and now have a stuck Bearing.
I had to drench my Bearing in Penetrating Oil for several hours and then borrowed a "Puller" to get it to budge. I have since purchased a Puller of my own, similar to this:

If it has never been off since 1999, it may be a struggle, so be patient (and protect the bolt's threads at the end of the Impeller Shaft).
In case you're interested, here's a photo of my Impeller with the Paddles attached:
PS: eBay also has replacement Impeller Bearings incase thise one is over the hill !
