You wouldn't believe how many PM's we get here. I have gotten over 30 on a day.

How about posting your question in the open forums so that others can benefit from your issue. PM's should not substitute for questions that would benefit everyone.

 

Well czizzi, cheese and I have been friends for some time now, and it was a bit of a personal note to begin with.
Had or have you been part of this particular forum, you would know that should I EVER have a "question" I do most certainly post in the open. I have been involved on this site since 2003, previously known as " Azis".
It was actually another Mod such as yourself who intervened in an area outside of their own knowledge, IE: Curtains and Drapes instructing on Small Engines!!! Now all these adds that lock up the site and no first time viewers are going to tolerate! I know of a few very knowledgeable and experienced good folk who have been run off due to some sort of power trip.
Perhaps I will be another, again....Plenty of other sites who actually appreciate the traffic our information draws from search engines.

Although I was going to inquire about applying for a moderator position which I once held under a different screen name so....if you have any direction to guide me in that manner, much appreciated, otherwise, private messages are just that

 

As to applying, it's simple, PM Tom (SharpAdvice) the Administrator and ask to be a Mod. Include the info requested in the "Mods needed" note and see what happens.

There are members that will PM someone with questions rather than post it on the forum, and it's preferred that they post on the forum. So czizzi just made a generalized remark based on that, nothing personal and he didn't need a lecture for it. Had nothing to do with a specific topic.

The rules and policies here are strict and shouldn't be blamed on moderators. Moderators are supposed to follow them tho.
