Cub Cadet 2135 Starting Issue
My Cub Cadet 2135 tractor won't start. Battery is good. Ignition switch activates the solenoid but starter engine doesn't crank. Any ideas? Thanks.

If you have a multimeter, check for battery voltage at the feed side of the solenoid, and then at the starter side with the key in crank position. If you have 12 volts to the solenoid, but not on the starter side, then the solenoid is bad, or you have a bad connection at the solenoid.
If you have 12 volts at the starter side of the solenoid, then check at the starter. If you have 12 volts at the starter, but it isn't turning, look for a bad ground connection, either from engine to frame or frame to battery. If grounds are good, then probably bad starter.
If you have 12 volts at one end of a wire and not at the other, might have a fusible link that is blown.
Good luck!

Can you spin the engine by hand?
If you have two studs exposed on the solenoid to cross them with a screwdriver BRIEFLY, or have a suitable jumper wire, you can test the starter in most cases. If it even engages or clicks, then I would roll the dice on the solenoid being bad.
