Poulan chainsaw not sawing

I own a Poulan Pro 4215 avx gas saw and when I crank it, the chain moves until I put it to the wood, then the chain won't move though the engine still runs.

Is this a clutch problem or is it something else?

Most likely the sprocket is worn out.

Check the clutch for saw dust and debris. May be too clogged to work properly. Also, make sure the chain brake is not engaged.
