Sears VT 3000 riding mower quits running

I have a VT 3000 sears mower it starts and mows ok? But after about 30 min of mowing the engine acts like its fuel starved. I stalls and then after 20 minutes it starts just fine.

I would suspect the fuel lines and or filter. I've seen a few of these with the fuel lines collapsing internally, restricting the flow. The engine takes just a hair more fuel than comes through the line, so the longer it runs. the lower the level gets in the carb until it is too low to run. After a little time for the bowl to fill back up it's good again.

If applying choke when it begins to die lets it run a bit longer, it's a restriction. If applying choke doesn't make any difference, check for spark immediately when it dies.
